As heatwaves become more frequent, older adults—especially those living alone—face growing challenges to autonomy, emotional well-being, and social connection. This project proposes a horticulture-enabled, community-linked service system that supports independence and emotional care through gardening. It combines a simple gardening app (discovery, plant pocket, feed, sign-ups, Q&A) with a local network of organizers, volunteers, horticulture experts, and shared spaces—supporting everyday engagement and offering safer, extra help during heatwaves to reduce loneliness and protect autonomy.
