In an era of rapid technological advancement, countless innovations have improved human life—yet urban wildlife, especially birds, has seen little benefit. This contrast invites reflection: as we design for human convenience, can we also consider the well-being of non-human city dwellers? Set against the backdrop of the fictional ecological tech company ChirpCity, this project explores how advanced technology and ecological design can create safe, interactive, and enriching environments for urban birds. Through the smart nest AquaNest and the interactive perch MoodBranch, we reimagine human–wildlife interaction and propose a more balanced, sustainable vision for future cities.
